Kehri Ellis - Chief Executive

Kehri Ellis was appointed Chief Executive of North Tyneside Learning Trust in October 2012. Kehri joined the Trust after six years as Director of Newcastle Partnership and has a wealth of experience in successful partnership working. Her previous roles include Head of Social Investment at Sunderland Housing Group (now Gentoo) as well as a number of senior management roles within national charities. Kehri’s career began in housing, managing the homelessness and housing advice service at Sunderland City Council. Kehri has an MA in Housing Policy and Management, an MBA and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing.

Sam Gallilee - Project Manager

Sam Gallilee - Project Manager

Samantha Gallilee was appointed Project Manager in January 2016 and has responsibility for overseeing the delivery and development of Trust projects. Her previous roles include Development Manager for Herrington Burn YMCA based in Sunderland where her role was to provide educational and vocational training and support to children and young people. Her background is in working with young people using youth work tools to aid personal, social and emotional development and she has many years experience in working with disadvantaged groups.Sam’s key function within the Trust will be co-ordination, including reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.

Nicola Comrie - Administration and Finance Assistant

Nicola Comrie has been on secondment for 3 days a week to the Trust in an administration and finance role since the end of September 2015. Nicola is an Administration Clerk at Norham High School and works within the Learning Support Team where her duties include ensuring that SIMS and other data for SEN, higher ability and safeguarding are up to date and accurate. Nicola also collates and distributes paperwork for EHCP/Statement annual reviews.  Nicola has worked at Norham since December 2009. Previously she was Administration Manager for a food service company and Commercial Registration and Billing Senior Team Leader for a utility company. Nicola’s key function within the Trust will be to provide administrative support, including reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.

Julie Scott - WOW Project Lead

Julie Scott - WOW Project Lead

Julie Scott joined the Trust on secondment for 2 days a week as a World of Work (WoW) Project Leader. Julie has worked at Stephenson Memorial Primary for over 25 years in a variety of roles. Her current role involves leading the Nurture Unit, with one of its focuses being to prepare children for the future. She achieved her HTLA status in 2006 and  BSc (hons) in 2009.

Angie Patterson - WOW Project Lead

Angie Patterson - WOW Project Lead

Angie Patterson was appointed as a World of Work (WOW) Project Lead in November 2015 for two days a week and she also works three days a week as STEM Learning Manager at Norham High School. She has been at Norham for five years and her current role involves providing cover for lessons, supporting students with intervention – predominantly in Maths and Technology and overseeing STEM activities within the school. Prior to her time at Norham, Angie worked for 10 years at Sage Software UK Ltd and her roles included Technical Support Coach and Technical Support Team Leader. Angie has a  BSc(Hons) in European Health Sciences. Angie will be part of the WOW team helping to promote, support and deliver careers education across North Tyneside Schools.

Jacqui Sugden - Trust Governor Strategy Lead

Jacqui Sugden - Trust Governor Strategy Lead

Jacqui Sugden joined the Trust as the Trust Governor Strategy Lead in October 2015.  A Manchester University Media and Business Studies graduate, Jacqui has spent many years working in governance for a range of national trade associations, a local FE College and for a range of schools as part of North Tyneside Council’s Governor Services Team.  In April 2014 Jacqui set up her own business and currently clerks 9 schools across the range of provision in the borough.  Working for the Trust she will be leading on the delivery of the Trust’s Governor Development and Support Strategy.
