Meet the World of Work (WOW) Team

The World Of Work (WOW) Project Leads role is to support Trust Partner Schools to develop positive and meaningful careers interventions and initiatives which broaden the knowledge and understanding of children and young people about the world of work. The Project Leads role is to:
  • Support initiatives already happening within Trust Partner Schools
  • Develop new initiatives and opportunities in partnership with Trust Partner Schools
  • Be a link for Trust Partner Schools to business' and companies to promote the World of Work
  • Promote initiatives linked to the World of Work that promote careers education at all phases and ages across Trust Partner Schools
 

Julie Scott

Julie Scott

Julie Scott works for the Trust on secondment for 3 days a week as a World of Work (WoW) Project Leader. Julie has worked at Stephenson Memorial Primary for over 25 years in a variety of roles. Her current role involves working in year 1, where one the topics in their project based learning has been to focus on preparing children for the future. She achieved her HTLA status in 2006 and  BSc (hons) in 2009.

Angie Patterson

Angie

Angie Patterson was appointed as a World of Work (WOW) Project Lead in November 2015 for two days a week and she also works three days a week as STEM Learning Manager at Norham High School. She has been at Norham for five years and her current role involves providing cover for lessons, supporting students with intervention – predominantly in Maths and Technology and overseeing STEM activities within the school. Prior to her time at Norham, Angie worked for 10 years at Sage Software UK Ltd and her roles included Technical Support Coach and Technical Support Team Leader. Angie has a  BSc(Hons) in European Health Sciences. Angie will be part of the WOW team helping to promote, support and deliver careers education across North Tyneside Schools.

Julie Scott
