Inspiration boxes

Science and maths

The WOW project are developing some Inspiration Boxes which will provide sector specific information, activity tasks and practical resources which can be used within the curriculum.

For use with KS1 & KS2 curriculum, the box will present children with a task and will ask the children to use numeracy, literacy, science, art and problem solving skills to tackle problems that arise within real work sectors. Each box will come with resources, activity plans and teaching resources and will include a visit from the partner business in that sector.

Nexus career box launched and available on request from the WOW team.

Coming soon will be inspiration boxes from Sunderland Software City and First Face to Face.

Typically a half day stand alone event with some preparation work around what is a career, what is a job and what the world of work entails to be undertaken by the school prior to the event
