About the Trust
North Tyneside Learning Trust was created through a shared belief that children and young people thrive when schools, families, businesses and the wider community work together. Formed as a charitable Foundation Trust, we bring together a partnership of schools and organisations who are committed to improving life chances and opening doors to opportunity.
From the beginning, the Trust set out to do something different. Instead of operating as a multi-academy trust, we chose a collaborative model that allows schools to retain their individuality while benefiting from shared expertise, shared resources and shared ambition. This approach has helped us grow a strong, supportive network focused on improving education and life chances of children and young people across North Tyneside.
Why we exist
Our purpose is simple...
To create opportunities that inspire, support and equip children and young people to succeed: in school, in work and in life.
We focus on the things that make the biggest difference to a young person’s future: confidence, aspiration, communication skills, meaningful experiences, and access to the world beyond the classroom. As an independent charity, we can be agile and responsive, testing new ideas and working with partners to create programmes that complement and enrich what schools already offer.

Through our World of Work programme, partners help raise aspiration, build skills and show young people what’s possible beyond the classroom.
