New opportunities for Trust partner schools

We are excited to announce two new Trust offers being made available to our partner schools.

Children North East BU: Skills for Social and Emotional Wellbeing
Supporting the mental health and well-being of children and young people across Trust schools remains a priority theme for the Trust and its schools, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Trust is working in partnership with Children North East to extend the BU: Skills for Social and Emotional Wellbeing programme across schools. The BU programme is designed to support children and young people to build resilience and develop foundations for positive mental health and emotional well-being. Each school will be offered free access to the 4 week online BU course which is delivered to small groups of up to 10 children and young people. A 12 month License Agreement will also be made available enabling school staff to shadow the BU worker for the duration of the course and then deliver the programme directly to other cohorts of students. This Trust offer provides schools with a valuable and sustainable way of supporting the mental health and well-being of children and young people across schools.
For more information about this offer or to register your school’s interest, please email katrina.moffat@ntlearningtrust.org.uk

National Governance Association (NGA) Workshops
NGA offer a range of topical training workshops to support school governors.
We are delighted to be working with the NGA to offer our Trust partner schools governing bodies the opportunity to take part in a series of free governor workshops over the rest of this academic year as follows:

Question and Challenge on 22 February
Effective Governance of SEND on 22 March
Financial Oversight on 19 April
Generating Income on 21 June

All of the workshops are taking place on Mondays to avoid clashing with your existing governing body meetings, they will commence at 5.30 p.m. and last for 2 hours.

There are two places available per school on a first come, first served basis and for some workshops schools might want to consider inviting a member of staff to attend.  Please note as the workshops are interactive there is a maximum of 20 participants for each workshop.

Please email Jacqui Sugden to register your interest in any of the workshops.
