NTLT Careers Live returns with great success

You really can’t beat a face to face event and it was wonderful to be able deliver our annual careers fair, NTLT Careers Live, in person this year.

Hosted by Burnside College, we were joined by more than 50 organisations representing employers, and training and education providers. All North Tyneside Learning Trust high schools, special schools and middle schools were invited to attend and more than 800 young people passed through the doors on the day.

When asked whether the event had been useful in helping to inform them about careers, 100% of respondents agreed that it had been useful and students went on to explain why:

“They  answered all questions and informed me of everything I would be doing there.”

“The explanation was in-depth and I’ve learnt a lot more about university courses.”

“They talked to me about keeping my options open and not to fixate my mind on just one job opportunity”

And we’ve had great feedback from our exhibitors too:

“The event was absolutely fantastic – it was incredibly well organised, and myself & my team thoroughly enjoyed the day. The facilitators and organisers were superb, very helpful, the hospitality was fantastic and the students were an absolute pleasure to talk to. We were very impressed with all the students we met, they represented their schools fantastically. We hope we have inspired some to pursue a career in social care. We were also able to do some networking ourselves with other organisations there and already are planning to collaborate moving forward which was a huge added bonus. Thank you for including us, it was a brilliant experience”
