NTLT launch their Enthuse Partnership

Last Tuesday, 11th January, our Science Lead Practitioner Amy Banks went to Valley Gardens Middle School to launch our NTLT Enthuse Programme, funded by the Reece Foundation. This was an incredibly exciting event involving staff from Valley Gardens Middle School and Benton Dene, Hadrian Park, Denbigh and Fordley primary schools alongside support from Josh Minto from our local STEM Ambassador Hub.
The Enthuse Programme is an initiative from STEM Learning, the largest provider of education and careers support in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). This partnership will work together over the next two years and staff within the schools will receive bespoke teacher CPD, support to launch STEM Clubs and the offer of teacher placements within a STEM-related industry. The overall aim of the programme is to engage students in the STEM subjects so that we can improve student attainment in STEM subjects and increase pupil awareness of STEM careers and further study routes. For the staff, the partnership aims to increase expertise in teaching STEM subjects, enhance knowledge of the STEM industry through working with employers and increase staff awareness of STEM careers and how to incorporate career links into the curriculum.
We are so excited to get started on our journey!
