Sixth Form Insight into Industry Employer Event with NU Foundation

This academic year we are collaborating with Newcastle United Foundation to give our schools a number of unique career related activities. Many of our schools have already taken part in year 8 STEM sessions at the new NU Castle building and this term also saw a fantastic opportunity for year 12 & 13 students at St James’ Park. Representatives from HMRC, Accenture, AkzoNobel and a number of other companies spent the morning with 44 students from Burnside College, Churchill Community College and George Stephenson High School and were able to give them insightful information and advice about the sectors and their recruitment process.

In March we are offering a session aimed at KS4 & 5 students that will allow them to speak directly to companies offering apprenticeships and take part in a number of activities. Any school who wants to find out more can contact angie.patterson@ntlearningtrust.org.uk.
