Astrocamp

AstroCamp offers an exciting, hands on way to explore space without leaving your school site. Designed to spark curiosity, wonder and learning, it provides everything schools need to deliver an exciting educational experience.

What's included

AstroCamp provides a full set of equipment to support your experience, including:
  • 15 tents
  • 10 sleeping bags
  • Telescopes and binoculars
  • A range of space themed games
  • A full set of Celestial Buddies (planet themed soft toys)
Everything is designed to make delivery as straightforward as possible for schools.

Flexible to suit your school

AstroCamp can be adapted to fit a range of age groups and delivery styles:
  • Daytime experiences for Early Years and Key Stage 1
  • Whole school space days
  • In school overnight residentials
This flexibility means schools can choose an approach that works best for their pupils and setting.

Support for schools

We don’t just provide the equipment, we also support schools to deliver a smooth and successful experience. This includes:
  • Planning ideas
  • Parent letters
  • Risk assessments
  • Practical advice and guidance

At Benton Dene School, AstroCamp has become a valued part of their science and enrichment offer:

“Astrocamp allows our pupils to take part in a range of exciting activities to support their learning about astronomy and our place in the universe, which they may otherwise not experience.
We run Astrocamp as an after school experience and sometimes as an overnight stay, where children sleep in pop up tents indoors. It is a wonderful opportunity for children to develop not only their science knowledge, but also their communication, confidence and social skills. For many, it is a stepping stone towards attending a residential later in their school journey.”
