Careers Education Support

We offer a range of subsidised careers education support to help schools strengthen their careers provision, meet statutory requirements, and ensure young people have access to high quality, impartial guidance, regardless of background or need.

Connexions

We provide subsidised access to Connexions for middle, secondary and SEND schools.

Connexions delivers independent information, advice and guidance (IAG) for young people aged 13–19, and up to 25 for those with an Education, Health and Care Plan. Their qualified Careers Advisers work closely with schools to support students to make informed decisions about education, training and future pathways.

Advisers bring in-depth local and national knowledge of post-16 and post-18 options and are trained to support young people at key transition points, including those who may be at risk of becoming disengaged.

Unifrog

Secondary and middle Partner Schools receive fully funded access to Unifrog, a comprehensive online careers and progression platform.

Unifrog brings together information on pathways, destinations and applications in one accessible place, helping students make confident, well informed choices. It also supports staff to manage progression, track engagement and deliver structured careers learning across year groups.

Quality in Careers Standard Award

We offer fully funded support for schools working towards the Quality in Careers Standard, a nationally recognised award for high quality careers education.

Our team supports schools through the full process, from initial planning and evidence gathering to assessment, and we also fund renewals. This support helps schools strengthen provision, demonstrate impact, and gain external recognition for their careers programme.

Apprenticeship Support

Apprenticeships are a flexible and cost-effective way to develop skills, build capacity and support career progression. North Tyneside Learning Trust supports its partner schools to explore, promote and manage apprenticeship opportunities.

Networks

Our networks bring colleagues together to share practice, build confidence and develop expertise in key areas of school improvement. They provide structured opportunities for collaboration, professional dialogue and peer support.

CPD & Professional Learning

We offer a range of subsidised professional development opportunities to support school leaders and staff across the Trust.

Local Leaders

The Trust uses the skills of leaders within the Trust to provide capacity to help other schools. This support is available in AI. Schools can apply to make use of the time of our Local Leaders to assist in developing their own expertise.

Schools of Sanctuary

North Tyneside Learning Trust leads and supports the Schools of Sanctuary programme across North Tyneside. We hold the local licence to deliver the award and work in partnership with the refugee charity Walking With (Wallsend) to support schools through the process.
