Secondary Phase

Building on experiences children receive at primary level, it is important to make careers education a priority by linking learning with the world of work and to allow children to make informed decisions about their options in Year 8 or 9.

As pupils progress to Key Stage 4 & 5, it is vital that young people are knowledgeable about their options and are inspired and motivated to make important decisions about their future. They must leave prepared for the world of work, know where to find information and opportunities, be able to apply and have developed key employability skills.
