The Trust employs 2 WOW Project Leads whose role it is to manage, organise and deliver the WOW offer to all Trust Partner Schools to develop positive and meaningful careers interventions and initiatives which broaden the knowledge and understanding of children and young people about the world of work.

Julie Scott was appointed as Primary (ages 5-11) World of Work (WOW) Project Lead in October 2015 to develop partnerships between businesses, employers and schools to enable all pupils to develop the life skills to reach their full potential. Initially she was seconded for 2 days a week from Stephenson Memorial Primary School, where she has worked for over 25 years. Her roles have been vast and varied from PHSCE Co-ordinator, HLTA, PPA cover, Nurture Lead to a member of the Senior Leadership Team. She gained HLTA status in 2006 and gained her BSc (Hons) in Research with Children and Young People in 2009. Since joining the Trust full time in September 2017, she has been responsible for developing and delivering careers interventions across the primary sector and she is passionate about inspiring and motivating children to fulfil their aspirations. Angie Patterson was appointed as Secondary (ages 12-18) World of Work (WOW) Project Lead in November 2015. Angie’s main focus is providing support to Careers Leads within the high, middle and SEN schools and liaising with businesses to promote different sectors, industries and opportunities. Previous to this she worked as a STEM Learning Manager at Norham High School, providing cover for lessons and supporting students with intervention – predominantly in Maths and Technology and overseeing STEM activities within the school. Prior to her time at Norham, Angie worked for 10 years at Sage Software UK Ltd and her roles included Technical Support Coach and Technical Support Team Leader.
