World of Work – WOW Project

The WOW project is designed to equip all children and young people for the World of Work (WOW) and spans every stage of the learning journey, from Pre School to Post 16. Activities are carefully designed in partnership with teachers and business professionals so that pupils gradually build on skills and knowledge gained each year and eventually leave school ‘work ready’. They can then make informed decisions about their next destinations and flourish when they get there.

The project’s vision is for all children to be inspired, motivated and equipped to reach their full potential. Every child, no excuses.

The activities are designed, delivered and supported by teachers, businesses, professional volunteers and partners who are all fully supported and engaged in the WOW project.

Apple Regional Training Centre

We are delighted to have secured an Apple Regional Training Centre for North Tyneside. The RTC will offer FREE Apple based training for all schools focusing on enhancing and transforming teaching and learning with Apple technology.

Great North Maths Hub

The Great North Maths Hub, funded by the DfE, provides strategic local leadership to ensure all schools receive tailored maths education support suited to specific needs. Working in partnership with schools, colleges, universities and maths experts, the Great North Maths Hub is harnessing teaching expertise and best practice within the area, for the benefit of all pupils and students in Tyne and Wear and Northumberland.

Science Learning Partnership

The Science Learning Partnership (Northumberland, Tyne & Wear) offers comprehensive subject specific CPD programmes for science teachers, technicians and teaching assistants across the region. Our CPD leaders are drawn from experienced educational consultants, practising teachers and partners across the region. We schedule regular courses at venues across the region as well as providing bespoke CPD tailored to the individual needs of a school.
